My name is Amy Foret, and I live in Southeastern Louisiana.  I grew up in this area and have never left it.  I love the bayou scene!  I married at the tender age of 19 to my best friend, Richard.  We have two children – Abby, & Matthew.

I began my crafting journey when I started cloth diapering my daughter Abby at 11 months old. Seeing the high price of a diaper (averaging $15) made me want to learn to make my own. Little did I know how addicted I would become to making them and all the cute fabrics!

Learning all about cloth diapering had me wanting to learn to knit. A knit pair of longies would average $50! Totally worth it, but at the time not in my price range. So I began to knit, and again, little did I know how addicted I would become to yarn! (see a pattern yet?)

Learning to knit just eventually led to my newest love, spinning my own yarn and dyeing fiber and yarn.

My love of spinning and dyeing is beginning to over-run the house, and I will never have the time to use my creations. So I offer it to you, and hope you will love them as much as I love creating them.

I have a couple of older blogs if you’d like to poke around them:
